Kenya’s Ednah Kiplagat and Geoffrey Kirui have won the Boston Marathon titles on their debut appearances at the competition. Two-time world champion Kiplagat strode home in a time of 2:21:52 ahead of Kenyan born-Bahraini Rose Chelimo and American Jordan Hasay. Kiplagat, 37, came into the 121st edition of the competition as the world marathon champion for Daegu in 2011 and Moscow in 2013. Monday's win makes it five career marathon wins for Kiplagat who has previously also won the 2010 TCS New York City Marathon and the Virgin Money London Marathon in 2014.
