Health authorities in Kenya are on high alert after the World Health Organization confirmed a strange disease is spreading in Europe and the United States. No country in Africa has reported the disease, which broke out in Britain last week. However, the Kenyan Ministry of Health has asked health workers to be on the lookout for the symptoms in children. “Given the increase in cases reported over the past one month and enhanced case search activities, more cases are likely to be reported in the coming days,” WHO said. Hepatitis can have many different causes although viral hepatitis (including hepatitis A, hepatitis B and hepatitis C) is most familiar.
