KENYA national Under 18 boys and girls teams were felled by Uganda in their opening Fiba Africa Zone Five first leg qualifiers at the Lugogo Indoor Stadium, Kampala. The Kenya boys trailed 25-15 in the first quarter, 23-14 in the second, took the third 15-10 before trailing 22-14 in the last. Kenya needed to win the second leg meeting which were scheduled for Sunday. Uganda won the first leg matches 80-58 in the boys while the girls suffered an 81-68 defeat. In the girls match, Kenya got off to a perfect start going ahead 16-14 in the first quarter before the Ugandans revved up a 26-13 score line in the second.
