11 hours agoFormer Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Reinsurance has been allowed by a judge to settle his dispute with Kenya Re out of court. Jadiah Mwarania was fired in March, and he went to court seeking compensation of 82 million shillings on grounds of wrongful termination. He argued that his contract had just been renewed for another five years and that the Kenya Re board had no grounds to fire him. He has however told the court he is in negotiations with the company over a possible deal. The judge had given Mwarania until June 8th to seek an alternative dispute resolution mechanism.
