Kenya has been ranked among the top 30 dangerous countries globally in 2023, according to research carried out by Insider published by Yahoo Finance. The compilation involved ranking each country based on their score in the latest Global Peace Index, the Global Terrorism Index, and the average homicide rate. Kenya had a high terrorism index ranking of 20 and a global peace index ranking of 34. Of the listed East African countries, Kenya only bettered the Democratic Republic of Congo which was ranked as the second most dangerous country in the world after Nigeria. Instructively, African countries dominated the top 30 list with 16 slots.
