Kenya: Panic as pupils attacked by unseen spirits in Naivasha

| Updated Wed, January 25th 2017 at 07:54 GMT +3Learning at a primary school in Naivasha was paralysed after pupils started screaming, claiming they were being attacked by unseen spirits. Panic gripped Ngondi Primary School in Kongoni as pastors and parents rushed to the institution to assist the pupils. According to Samson Karimi, a parent, pupils started complaining that they were being strangled by unknown spirits on Monday. Despite calling religious leaders to pray for the affected students, the problem is getting worse by the day," he said. Naivasha Deputy County Commissioner Joseph Opondo attributed the attack to hysteria, adding that prayers conducted by religious leaders had worked.
