Police said the suspect was helping with investigations and that more suspects could be arrested. Cheques for Sh460,000 had been drawn by the CDF committee allegedly for the refurbishment of the local district commissioner's residence. "They were detected when the bank called to inquire why they were presented without the mandatory payment schedule," said area MP Kathuri Murungi.
