A public transport company in Kenya that has been around for almost 100 years has taken delivery of its first e-bus. This latest development is another step towards Kenya’s e-mobility ambition of having all of its buses electrified by 2027. Kenya Bus Management, operating in the public transport space since 1928, said it is expecting to add at least 25 more e-buses to its fleet. “Today marks a historic moment as we proudly announce the official handover of the first e-bus to join the Kenya Bus Management fleet,” said BasiGo. BasiGo intends to deliver 1,000 locally assembled electric buses for Kenya over the next three years.
