Otieno who had sensed danger unsuccessful tried to restrain the thugs from entering the bedroom using a wooden sofa-set. According to Atieno, the men shot her husband on the head and neck at close range before ransacking the house looking for valuable items. Inside the house, they warned me and my sister in-law against screaming as they attacked my husband," said Atieno of the 11 pm incident. "I suspect that this is a planned assassination because I could identify one of the men as a close friend to my husband," Atieno revealed.
