A KDF junior soldier was on Wednesday morning arraigned for allegedly defiling a school-girl in Nyeri County. Martin Kabura appeared before Nyeri Chief Magistrate Mathias Okuche where he was charged with three counts for defiling a minor. The girl told police that the officer had promised to take her to school but they ended up in a lodge where he allegedly assaulted her. The soldier, who is also a distant relative of the girl, is said to have driven from Nyeri town towards Othaya. The initial plan was to drop the girl at school but he took a detour and headed towards Murang’a where he booked a hotel room.
