People’s Choice Award is a showcase of American awards, recognizing people in entertainment, voted online by the general public and fans. People's Choice Awards has once again opened a category dedicated to Africa: African Social Star of 2020 – with eight contenders in the running. Last year, Bonang Mathebe from South Africa scooped the coveted title of African Influencer of 2019.
