Ms Moughtin is speaking out to raise awareness of the Pituitary Gland foundation who she is completing a sponsored abseil for in July. Ms Moughtin had visited her GP a few weeks earlier complaining of headaches that left her feeling like she had 'been punched,' but were dismissed by her doctor as work-related stress. After making a second appointment, Ms Moughtin said: 'The doctor was a bit perplexed by it and put it down to hormones, but suggested a CT scan to check it out.' A few months after her diagnosis, Ms Moughtin suffered a life-threatening incident, when her adrenal glands produced too little of the hormones cortisol and aldosterone, causing her to go into shock.
