The legislator, who is known for his outspoken and confrontational nature, was involved in a heated exchange with the Central Regional Police Commander, DCOP Paul Manly Awini. Although it is not clear what Mr. Agyapong was saying, his actions depicted an angry man ready to confront the said police officer. The Assin Central MP, while speaking on Net 2 TV, urged the public to beat up the investigative journalist if he shows up anywhere near the premises of the television station. This led to a section of Ghanaians pointing accusing fingers at Mr. Agyapong following the gruesome murder of Ahmed Suale earlier this year.
