It’s beginning to appear that the timing of Finance Minister Bill Morneau’s contentious tax changes wasn’t as simple as it initially appeared. It’s still his money and it should still be subject to the same tax fairness he insists should apply to others. Trudeau and Morneau are standing behind their privileges while trying to remove them from othersOf the two, Morneau is by far the richer. He has family wealth and marital wealth, having wedded into one of Canada’s richest families. If Morneau wants us to accept him as a crusader for tax fairness, he and Trudeau should tell us the details of their own tax situations first.
