OTTAWA — Conservative leadership candidate Kellie Leitch is down a campaign manager. Among other things, Kouvalis has been criticized lately for using alt-right terminology on Twitter — such as the word “cuck” — to insult critics who didn’t like Leitch’s ideas. “It has also become clear to me that the pressures that come with a stressful campaign leadership role are not conducive to my personal wellbeing.”RelatedThe Leitch campaign has borrowed other tactics from U.S. politics. It’s all part of a sophisticated strategy that Kouvalis seemed confident would put Leitch within spitting distance of Conservative Party leadership. It wasn’t immediately clear who would be taking over operations for her campaign.
