For the men's group, Lelisa Desisa of Ethiopia took top honors for the men's division in the 2018 New York City Marathon, winning Sunday with an unofficial final time of 2 hours, 5 minutes and 59 seconds. The race on Sunday was the last for Peter Ciaccia, the NYC Marathon race director since 2015, will retire following the event after 18 years with New York Road Runners.
