Rachel Reeves, who serves in Sir Keir’s shadow cabinet, said that Mr Leonard should consider his position with the party on course for a bruising Holyrood election next May. She called opinion poll results in Scotland “pretty dire” before adding that any decisions over the party leadership should be taken by Scottish Labour. “I think he needs to consider his position and do what he thinks is right for Scotland and for Scottish Labour,” she told Sky News.
