I am so proud of this England team; they are brilliant role models for modern Britain, on and off the pitch – a team that’s strong because of its diversity. They have helped England come together again after an incredibly difficult year, and feel proud of our country, proud of the flag that we fly. Throughout this tournament, Gareth Southgate and his players have shown the best of England. That’s why our team were right to take the knee and take a stand against racism wherever it still exists. Like all true England fans I stand with Gareth and the team – and especially Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka.
