Keep buyers’ interest as top priority: Noida Authority to interim resolution professional

NEW DELHI: The Noida Authority has asked the interim resolution professional (IRP) appointed for the Jaypee Infratech insolvency proceedings to keep the interest of the company’s homebuyers as top priority. "We have told the IRP to keep the interest of homebuyers as top priority," said Amit Mohan Prasad, chief executive officer, Noida Authority. Prasad said the CEOs of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway authorities have been called for a meeting with newly appointed chief secretary of Uttar Pradesh Rajive Kumar on Monday. "A meeting has been called to discuss how to resolve the builder-buyer issues and the Jaypee case will be a part of it," he said. About 32,000 homebuyers have been left in the lurch after Jaypee Infratech became the first housing company in the country to enter insolvency proceedings.
