The Kebbi government has doled out financial gifts to federal workers and non-indigenes across the state. Briefing journalists yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Babale Umar Yauri, said the gesture was in the spirit of Eid-el Kabir and enjoyment of good governance. He said non-governmental organisations (NGOs), as well as traditional, religious leaders also benefitted from the largesse, urging support for the Governor Atiku Bagudu administration in the state. He said: “We have also been admonished by Islam to always extend our milk of human kindness to the less-privileged in the society. “It is only this very administration, led by Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, that has ever remembered the non-indigenous community leaders and their people,” Nwosu stated.
