IPOH: People's Progressive Party (myPPP) has challenged electoral reform group Bersih 2.0 to stand on its own instead on depending on political parties to get support. "Make this announcement first, then we shall see if Malaysians truly support Bersih. Kayveas said Bersih "is just another branch of the opposition" now that they have chosen to form ties with the opposition. Labelling Bersih as a group "worse than terrorists," he urged Bersih leaders to "show some class" when accepting the results of an election instead of turning Malaysia into a "marketplace." Perhaps, myPPP will propose for the Internal Security Act (ISA) to be re-enacted once again, that way, it would be easier to control them," he said.
