Kaymer one behind two rookie leaders at Honda Classic - Golf

(Reuters) - Martin Kaymer chipped in for birdie at the 17th then birdied the last to move within one stroke of the lead after Thursday's opening round of the Honda Classic at PGA National in Palm Springs Gardens, Florida. Anirban Lahiri of India joined Kaymer at 65 by rolling in a 24-foot putt for eagle on the par-five 18th. Kaymer caught fire after hitting his tee shot into an awkward lie in rough on the edge of the par-three 17th green. "It was just one of those shots you want to get within three feet or so," two-times major winner Kaymer told Golf Channel. "A place that I’m comfortable at, and a golf course I know, they are few and far between out here,” Wesley said about PGA National.
