The importance of getting fit in a post-Covid lockdowns world has been highlighted with an Australian fitness influencer bagging AU$400 million (NZ$430 million) for a fitness platform. Kayla Itsines​ announced the sale of her company, Sweat, to at home fitness tech company iFit, on Instagram, saying: “The next chapter for Sweat starts today.”According to Brisbane’s Courier Mail, the sale was worth $430 million. Itsines and her then-partner, Tobi Pearce, launched the company with a series of 12-week “Bikini Body Guides” and Itsines found fame with a similarly-named e-book. Itsines has 13 million followers on Instagram, while Sweat itself has nearly 1 million.
