Vegalta Sendai beat first-stage winners Kashima Antlers 1-0; Omiya Ardija edged Avispa Fukuoka 1-0; and Gamba Osaka beat Sagan Tosu 2-1. Yoshito Okubo scored in the last minute of the first half before an own goal and strikes from Yu Kobayashi and Elsinho after the break gave Kawasaki a comfortable win. Urawa Reds are second " also on 19 points " after a 4-1 home win over Shonan Bellmare.
