Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors said, "There was never a plan to have the Z800 go CKD. According to recent media reports, suggesting that Kawasaki India will be importing the Z800 street-fighter through the CKD route in India, the company has dismissed such reports terming them false. Moreover, the Kawasaki Z800 is available in India in two colours only - black and green, while the bike is available for Rs 8.58 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi) .
