American Idol is gearing up for a 2020 return. Katy Perry, 34, and Luke Bryan, 43, were giving their best Jack and Rose impressions while filming a clip for the new season of American Idol at the Wharf waterfront in Washington, DC on Tuesday. The pair are returning as judges for season 18 of the long running singing competition along with Lionel Richie and host Ryan Seacrest. The Roar crooner was dressed like a funky modern superhero in a bootcut black and navy jumpsuit that had a black sheer illusion neckline and cap sleeves with a sweetheart cut bodice underneath. In addition to returning to American Idol in the New Year, she's set to debut new music this week.
