Actor Katrina Kaif was roped in as the lead of Salman Khan’s upcoming film Bharat last year after Priyanka Chopra quit the project mere weeks before the shoot was to begin. Now, in an interview to Mumbai Mirror, Katrina has said that she, and not Priyanka Chopra, was always producer Atul Agnihotri’s first choice for the film. Katrina and Salman will be seen together again after working together in films like Maine Pyaar Kyu Kiya, Partner, Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai. But here, I wanted Bharat and Kumud to appear like two people meeting for the first time and forging a connection. I’m very happy for her,” he told Mumbai Mirror.
