Kasipul MP Ong'ondo Were has been fined Sh15,000 for failure to comply with the government rules aimed at preventing spread of Covid-19. The MP was fined the amount after pleading guilty before Senior Resident Magistrate Celesa Okore in Oyugis court. Were appeared in court on Wednesday morning after he was arrested by police at Sino location in Rachuonyo South Sub County. He was accused of failing to put in place measures to ensure the physical distance of not less than one metre is maintained between persons attending his meeting.
