Kashmiriyat, insaniyat and then tit-for-tat

"There are no two opinions that Jammu and Kashmir was, is and would remain part of India," Rajnath told reporters. "I can tell you that what those friends faced (at the hands of the separatists) is neither Kashmiriyat (Kashmiri culture) nor insaniyat (humanitarianism). They (the delegation members) went there for talks but they (the separatists) did not talk; it shows they have no faith in jamhooriyat (democracy)," Rajnath said. Barring Geelani, other separatists had met the delegation members who had come calling, while refusing to discuss Kashmir with them. "The Centre is fully supporting the state, and the state government under the leadership of Mehboobaji is trying to improve the situation," he said.
