Two women, who were battling for life after consuming the ‘prasada’ at Kichugatti Maramma Temple at Sulawadi village in Chamarajnagar district, died here on Sunday. The number of deaths in the incident has gone up to 13. The condition of six more patients on life support was said to be serious. A total of 66 patients were being treated in eight private hospitals here and 28 in KR Hospital. He said his department had sent samples of the “poisoned ‘prasada” and others to various agencies, including CFTRI and the FSL, for examination.
