They were all heading to Gokarna from Bengaluru. Besides them, driver of the truck, said to be a native of Uttar Pradesh, died in the accident. The truck driver jumped a road-divider, lost control of the vehicle and collided with the oncoming bus. The bus driver and cleaner escaped. Reports say the truck driver’s negligence was the cause of the accident, which occurred on the highway that connects Bengaluru with Pune and Mumbai.
