KARACHI: Karachi which experienced heavy rain on late Sunday night has been transformed into a gigantic water pool, displaying the unmistakable incompetence of the city government. According to the details, the absence of proper outlets for the discharge of water created huge troubles for citizens who embarked for their daily grinds on Monday morning. Major areas which received heavy rainfall included Defence, Clifton, Saddar, Malir Cantt, Defence, Clifton, Gulistan-e-Johar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, as well as Karachi airport and areas near Shahrah-e-Faisal and I.I. The weather of the city became chilly and plunged large swathes of the metropolis into darkness as mandatory power outrages across the city also occurred. Power outages hit Gulistan-e-Johar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Model Colony, Saddar, North Karachi, Orangi Town, Defence, Garden, and other areas.
