Kenya Police coach Patrick Mugambi has termed the exit of Calvine Kanu and Amos Barkibir as a big blow to his quest of recapturing the men’s Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) Premier League title. The two players decamped to champions Butali Warriors during the pre-season and their absence was felt as the 2017 champions began the new season on a one-all draw against Sikh Union over the weekend at City Park. Police, who are seeking to recapture the title they surrendered to the Sugar men last season, saw the two players join their rivals in a move which Mugambi described as a blow to their bid to reclaim the title.
