The November 20 train accident in Kanpur which claimed 140 lives, is suspected to have terror links with financial backing from a Dubai-based businessman, Bihar Police said on Tuesday. Giri allegedly has connection with a Dubai-based Nepalese businessman Shamshul Hoda, who has suspected terror links. “Besides the arrests in East Champaran, Giri, along with Mujahir Ansari and Shambhu have been arrested at Tailaya in Nepal,” East Champaran SP Jitender Rana said. The accused confessed to targeting the railways for suspected terror links from neighbouring countries, during interrogation. It may be recalled that Indian Mujahideen chief Yasin Bhatkal was arrested from Raxaul in East Champaran district in 2013.
