The under construction building in Kanpur which collapsed on Wednesday killing nine people and several others still trapped inside was being built on a war footing. The reason for the collapse of building is said to be that the building was constructed without following any proper norms. Kanpur Development Authority and the owner was possibly fearing the construction may get stopped if the results turned out against the Samajwadi Party. The construction in haste went directly under the nose of the Kanpur Development Authority.
