Kannywood Director, Hassan Giggs, has pledged to sponsor the medical treatment of 17-year-old Sani Lawal who is suffering from serious eye defect. Giggs, a director in the Hausa-language film industry of Northern Nigeria, made this known in Daura, Katsina State on Thursday when he met the boy, saying he was sympathetic toward the young man’s medical condition. “I would want see Lawal back in school because he had finished primary six and would like to go further. Sani Lawal lost his sight last year when he finished primary six and his parents could not sponsor his treatment due to financial incapacitation. Meanwhile, Giggs donated N40,000 to the parents of the young man to enable them to fend for themselves and address other pressing issues.
