KUCHING: When he was growing up, Langgi Kanang, was repeatedly reminded by his late father on the importance of safeguarding the country’s sovereignty. Langgi’s father is none other than national hero, the late Datuk Temenggong Kanang Langkau, also known as “The Iban Warrior”. “I grew up listening to my father’s stories about fighting the communists. The late Kanang’s sacrifices have been immortalised in the film Kanang Anak Langkau: The Iban Warrior. Langgi played the role of his late father in the movie.
