KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday submitted its reply on a petition filed by former federal minister Kamran Michael against his arrest and requested the Sindh High Court (SHC) to declare the petition as non-maintainable. A two-member bench of the SHC heard the petition and sought a reply from Mihcael’s counsel Javaid Mir till May 2. The NAB counsel argued that Michael had hidden ground realities from the court, whereas the NAB has collected solid evidences about his involvement in financial wrongdoing. The petitioner had requested the court that his arrest be termed unlawful. The NAB chairman had ordered an inquiry against Michael for alleged misuse of his authority in January 2018.
