Kamlesh Tiwari row: Supreme Court directs Allahabad HC to dispose off petition in 4 weeks

Supreme Court on Friday told the Allahabad High Court to dispose off the petition of Hindu Mahasabha leader Kamlesh Tiwari in 4 weeks which challenged the slapping of the National Security Act against him. Tiwari was booked under National Security Act for making controversial remarks against Prophet Mohammad. On December 3, 2015, Kamlesh Tiwari, in a press note issued by him, claimed that Prophet Mohammed was the first homosexual. Azam Khan’s remarks had come after Arun Jaitley had spoken up against Section 377 and said that the Supreme Court judgement on gay sex should be reconsidered. Later, a massive counter rally was organised by a group against the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha leader Kamlesh Tiwari for his alleged derogatory remarks on Prophet Muhammad.
