A convict who conned a woman Ksh800,000 with a promise of a lucrative job at State House now claims officers at the Kamiti Maximum Prison were part of the syndicate. Appearing before Milimani Law Courts Chief Magistrate, Susan Shitubi, Patrick Shikure Amere claimed that he orchestrated and executed the plan with the help of prison wardens. Fraud suspect Patrick Shikure is serving a life sentence at Kamiti Prison. A trace of the digital footprints of the phone calls led the investigating officers to the maximum-security prison.
