Kamala Mills fire: Lookout notices against '1Above' co-owners, BMC demolishes over 300 illegal structures


In a major crackdown, the Mumbai civic administration on Saturday demolished at least 300 illegal structures erected by restaurants and pubs, a day after 14 people were killed in a fire in 1Above pub​ in Kamala Mills area. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished reception cum entrance of 1Above pub and Mojo's Bistro, along several other illegal structures in the compound. Entrance porch of the Trade House Building in Kamala Mills area was also demolished by the BMC team. The BMC initiated a mega demolition drive and razed illegal, unauthorised structures of at least 100 restaurants and pubs across the city till afternoon, an official said.
