(PTI)Chennai: Veteran actor Kamal Haasan on Wednesday evening floated his political party - Makkal Needhi Maiyam (People's Justice Centre) - at Tamil Nadu's Madurai and also hoisted the outfit's flag. Speaking after the launch, Kamal said his party "would neither be Left nor Right". Referring to what Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu had told him, Kamal said: "We don't need 'isms'. Importantly for the actor, Madurai is also the town where his icon, Mahatma Gandhi, adopted the loin cloth. Kamal chose to launch his party on February 21 as it is International Mother Language Day.
