Kakamega Senatorial candidate Cleophas Malala was on Sunday attacked after church service in Mumias. It is said Malala and his supporters was attacked as he left a church service in Mumias West constituency. The youth who were armed with pangas smashed vehicles in Malala's convoy and cut outgoing Mumias Central MCA Suleiman Odanga on the head. Malala and his crew had just attended a church service at the Matawa ACK church and were leaving when they were attacked barely 20 meters from the church gate. They smashed windscreens of vehicles as they shouted that opposition politicians must stop going to Mumias to abuse Rashid Mohammed.
