Immediate Steps funding was used to pay for the plants, combi guards and fencing material, while Wareham was responsible for providing the fencing labour and site preparation. The Kaikoura Water Management Zone Committee is closer to reaching its target of allocating all its funding for biodiversity projects around the district. The water zone committee met in Kaikoura last week and agreed three more projects for funding, subject to Runanga approval. The latest project to benefit was a riparian planting project along Lyell and Warren creeks on Grant Wareham's Mt Fyffe Rd farm.
