Is Team Trudeau back on the path of sunny ways, at least as far as managing the House agenda? Unlike most first-time Government House leaders, however, LeBlanc has already experienced just how very quickly and spectacularly those cross-party negotiations can descend into chaos. It took House Speaker Geoff Regan approximately 10 minutes to confirm that a prima facie breach of privilege had indeed occurred. In fact, even six weeks ago, such a dire prediction would undoubtedly have sparked a similarly sceptical response. Three increasingly abject prime ministerial apologies later, LeBlanc rose in the House to announce that he would be withdrawing the despised motion, effective immediately.
