A total of 21 schola­rships for master's progra­mme of Rs500,000 will be awarde­dKARACHI: Professor Dr Javed Ashraf, a representative of the University of Karachi Alumni Association in Houston, USA, met the Karachi University (KU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi at VC Secretariat on Tuesday. While discussing the draft of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the university and its alumni chapter in Houston, they agreed to further expand the cooperation between the two. The MoU signing will most likely take place next month. Under the MoU, the University of Karachi Alumni Association will offer graduate and postgraduate students scholarship titled, ‘UKAHA Academic Achievement Award’. According to the proposal, students of arts would be awarded Rs20,000 per year, while students of the faculty of science would receive Rs28,000 per year.
