KTDA reaches out to MPs over new regulations

In a sequence of letters, the tea agency has petitioned Parliament, asking to be heard before the discussion and implementation of the reforms. LEGISLATIVE PROCESSAdvertisement“We therefore notify you of our intention to formally participate in the legislative process of the proposed regulations,” read their letter. In another letter dated June 12, KTDA employees petitioned Parliament and the Senate, arguing that the Tea Regulations, 2020, have a direct impact on them in regard to their contract with the tea agency. The factories said they would want to present written or oral submission to the House during the presentation of the proposed regulations.
