KSRelief, IOM deliver aid for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh

King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works (KSRelief), in collaboration with the UN Migration Agency IOM, has delivered 100 tons of relief for the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. The relief consists of food and core aid items such as tents, sleeping mats and blankets. A plane chartered by the IOM arrived with the relief materials in Chittagong in the early hours of Friday. The aid is being directed towards an estimated 420,000 Rohingya refugees who have fled violence in the northern state of Rakhine in Myanmar and arrived in the Cox-Bazar region of Bangladesh since August 25 this year. IOM Bangladesh took delivery of the relief and then organized a convoy of at least 20 trucks to move it from Shah Amanat International Airport to an IOM warehouse in Cox’s Bazar.
