In order to ensure that people from tribal, far flung and interior areas not miss the transport facility on May 12, the district administration has instructed the KSRTC not to withdraw buses to rural places. There were complaints the last time that many KSRTC buses were withdrawn on the day. A clear cut instruction has been given to the KSRTC not to withdraw rural buses, he said. The administration has sought over 170 buses from the KSRTC for poll works, Mr. Ravi said, adding that the KSRTC will lend spare buses along with scores of buses being operated between urban places. He claimed that the KSRTC buses were being operated all over reaching people across the district.
