The Kerala State Cashew Development Corporation (KSCDC) has opened a new outlet attached to its factory at Pullor in Irinjalakuda. Different varieties of cashew along with a range of value-added products will be available at reasonable rates at the outlet, said KSCDC officials here on Wednesday. Choco kaju, milky kaju, cashew soda and cashew-apple jam are among the products currently on offer. “The KSCDC outlet has been opened as part of efforts to extend the domestic market of cashew products to central Kerala,” said S. Jayamohan, KSCDC chairman. The KSCDC has launched around 18 value-added products from cashew nut and fruit pulp over the many years.
